Our field trip to the Michigan Historical Museum was wonderful! We were so excited to finally get there! I just want to thank the many family members who volunteered to come with us and ensure a great educational day for our kids: Karen Anderson, Karen Legal, Colette Diotte, Phil Weinstein, Dan Smith, Eric Earle, Eric Lopez, Lindsey Malzahn, Laura Wotruba, Amy Jolley, Jessica Diller, and Randy Conway. Your participation meant our students got lots of attention and were able to go back to whatever areas they wanted to, after our docent tour. Our kids were very well-behaved and so smart! Here they are learning what it was like in a one-room schoolhouse in the 1880’s. They thought it was cool to have a piano in the classroom, and the slates were neat, but they weren’t too excited learning what happened to kids when they misbehaved. Of course, we would never have that problem with our students! Thanks again for your flexibility with our thrice-scheduled date, sending lunches with your kids, and ensuring they knew how to behave in the museum. It was a fun day!
